Fort Myers, Fla. January 9, 2012 – Fox Electronics, a
leading global supplier of frequency control solutions, recently released a
new TCXO in a compact 2.5 mm x 2.0 mm x 1.0 mm package making them ideal for
GPS applications.
The new
FOX922-GP Series oscillators are available
in six supply voltage options ranging from 1.8 V to 3.3 V (±5% standard) for
increased adaptability to any platform. Offering a tight stability of up to
±0.5 ppm across a vast operating temperature range of -30°C to +85°C, the
RoHS-complaint SMD (surface mount device) oscillators with a gold
termination finish are best suited for portable applications requiring
precision timing.
Standard frequencies for the new TCXO oscillators range from 16.367667 MHz
to 38.400 MHz with ten varieties offered. Available with a clipped sine
output waveform, the peak-to-peak voltage level is 0.8 V minimum. Phase
noise at 16.369 MHz with 10 kHz offset is typically -147 dBc/Hz. Output load
is (10kΩ//10pF)±10%.
Frequency stability over the supply voltage change is ±0.2 ppm and over the
load change is ±0.2 ppm. Aging per year is only ±1.0 ppm. Initial frequency
tolerance at 25°C after two reflows is ±2.0 ppm. Moisture sensitivity level
(MSL) is 1. Storage temperature range is -40°C to +85°C. Reflow soldering
temperature is 260°C/10 seconds.
Fort
Myers, Fla. November 14, 2011 - Fox Electronics, a leading global
supplier of frequency control solutions, now offers its
XpressO
XO oscillators with an extremely
tight frequency stability to ±25 ppm over the operating
temperature range of -20°C to +70°C in a miniature 3.2 mm x 2.5 mm package.
The new HCMOS 3.3 V
FXO-HC336 is part of Fox's full line of
low-cost, high performance XpressO oscillators that are delivered within 10
days and offer extremely low jitter.
Fox's new oscillator is ideal for use in a variety of applications,
including microprocessor, DSP, FPGA, SONET and Ethernet environments as well
as industrial controllers, test and measurement equipment, storage area
networks and other applications that require the oscillator to maintain its
frequency over a wide temperature range in a compact, cost-effective
package.
The RoHS- and REACH-compliant
FXO-HC33 family of crystal oscillators are
available in any frequency from 0.75 MHz to 250 MHz and offer a frequency
resolution to six decimal places. Additional options are also available for
the FXO-HC33 product family.
A breakthrough in configurable frequency control solutions, XpressO crystal
oscillators utilize a family of proprietary application specific integrated
circuits (ASICs), designed and developed by Fox with a focus on noise
reduction. These ASICs have the ability to enable users to select the
optimum combination of output type, input voltages and temperature
performance features.
The oscillators feature a tri-state enable/disable feature that allows the
user to turn off the output as a way to reduce power consumption. The
contacts of the FXO-HC33 series contacts are constructed with a gold over
nickel termination finish and incorporate industry standard packaging,
including footprint and pin-out.
XpressO oscillators have reduced noise levels comparable to traditional bulk
quartz and SAW oscillators by using the third order Delta Sigma Modulator
(DSM). The low cost oscillators also offer extremely low jitter of less than
1 pS.
Samples are available in one to two days, with production quantities within
ten working days. The oscillators come standard with Fox's patented serial
identification system that ensures exceptional quality control and unique
traceability of each individual part throughout the entire manufacturing
process.
Fort
Myers, Fla. October 1, 2011 – Fox Electronics, a leading global supplier
of frequency control solutions, now offers the
F300 series of HCMOS oscillators which
feature low voltage and low current consumption. The 1-volt oscillators
incorporate a standby function that reduces the oscillator’s current
consumption to 5 micro amps for more efficient power usage.
Available in a compact 3.2 mm x 2.5 mm package, the small form factor F300
series includes models with stabilities ranging from ±20 ppm to ±100 ppm.
The new oscillators offer an extremely low current draw of 2.5 mA across the
1.8 MHz to 32.0 MHz frequency range and 3.5 mA from 32.1 MHz to 50.0 MHz.
Fox’s new series of RoHS-compliant oscillators are ideal for use in
environments with minimal air circulation, such as compact consumer
electronics and weather-proof enclosures. Portable and battery-powered
devices, including satellite and terrestrial radio; WiMax, 802.11 and
Bluetooth wireless; wired and optical networks for voice, data and Internet
as well as automotive and test equipment; remote sensing equipment; and GPS
technology are also ideal applications for the F300 oscillators.
Models with stabilities from ±20 ppm to ±100 ppm can operate in temperatures
ranging from -10°C to +70°C while models with stabilities from ±25 ppm to
±100 ppm operate in an extended temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. Storage
temperature range is -55°C to +125°C.
Start up time is 5 mS. The F300 series contacts feature a gold finish and
the moisture sensitivity level (MSL) is 1.

3.2 mm x 2.5 mm and a height of only 1.2 mm, make
these RoHS-compliant ceramic SMD (surface mount
device) oscillators ideal for a number of GPS
applications, which require precision timing.
The oscillators offer a frequency range from 16 MHz
to 27 MHz, and are available as standard in a
variety if common GPS frequencies, such as 16.369
MHz, 23.104 MHz, and 26 MHz. Input current is 1.5 mA
in frequencies from 16 MHz to 23 MHz and 1.7 mA from
24 MHz to 27 MHz. Additional frequencies can be
requested by contacting Fox's technical support
center.
Stability over the supply voltage change is ±0.3
ppm and ±0.2 ppm over the load change. The clipped
SINE output waveform's peak-to-peak level is a
minimum of 0.8 V. Aging per year is only ±1 ppm.

Electronic's 2.5-Volt HCMOS Oscillators Offers Stabilities As Low As 8 ppm
Fort Myers, Fla. August
11, 2008 - Fox Electronics, a leading global supplier of frequency
control solutions, now offers HCMOS oscillators with 2.5-volt operation and
tighter stability options of 15 ppm ( F547),
10 ppm (F549) and 8 ppm (F54S),
with phase noise of -140 dBc/Hz at a 10 kHz offset and a jitter period of 3
ps (RMS), making the series ideal for communication equipment, data transfer
and test and measurement equipment applications, where reduced current and
heat generation are required.
Ideal for customers needing tight stability oscillators, Fox's new F54
oscillator series features significantly tighter stability options compared
to traditional oscillator stabilities of 100 ppm to 20 ppm. Fox's new low
voltage oscillators also operate over a wide temperature range of -20°C to
+70°C or optional temperature range of -40°C to +85°C (R Version) and
feature a maximum soldering temperature of 260°C at 10 seconds.
The HCMOS version offers an input current (IDD) of 7 mA and an output
current (IOL) of 4 mA minimum. Output symmetry for the F54 series is 45% to
55% over a frequency range of 4 MHz to 54 MHz.
The RoHS-compliant series has a gold over nickel termination finish and
features industry standard packaging of 5.0 mm x 3.2 mm, including
footprint and pin-out. Fox's F540 series is packaged on tape and reel.
Pricing for a F54SR (8 ppm, -40°C to +85°C Version) is $1.69 in quantities
of 10K. Delivery is 8 weeks ARO.
