- Fox Electronics, America's leading supplier of frequency control products, now
offers two upgraded lines of SMD oscillators with reduced power consumption that
provide an extended usable battery life for portable and battery-powered
applications. Fox's RoHS compliant
F330A and
F530LA oscillators offer reduced heat generation to
prolong battery life, which is paramount in offering a viable portable product.
Fox's new oscillators, which are low current versions of the popular Series F330
and F530L, are ideal for use in computers, cell phones, AM/FM Radio, CD/DVD
players, MP3 players, satellite radio, tools, test equipment, scanners and bar
code readers. The compact F330A, measuring 3.2 mm x 2.5 mm, and the F530LA,
measuring 5 mm x 3.2 mm, are ideal for any portable application where an
oscillator is required.
In addition to the oscillators' 1.800-50.000 MHz frequency range and 3.3 V
operation, the Series F530LA is available in a 5.0 V (F550L) version for select
portable applications. The oscillators also offer HCMOS output and a standby
current of 1 mA, which reduces the production of heat and extends the product's
battery life. The oscillators' lower current draw and reduced heat generation
eliminate the need for cooling fins and fans as well. The Series F330A and
F530LA have a storage temperature of -55°C to +125°C and are conveniently
packaged on tape and reel in 2,000 pcs. STD.

FORT
MYERS, Fla., March 2007 - Fox Electronics, a leading global
supplier of frequency control products, today announced a new HCMOS,
14-pin DIP OCXO (oven controlled crystal oscillator). Designed for
use in base stations, the new
FTS310 OCXO will benefit the WiMAX,
HIPERMAN and WiBro markets in the U.S., Europe and Korea,
respectively.
Fox's new OCXO is more robust than TCXO options, clearly meeting
the IEEE 802.16-2004 specification that dictates the OCXO have a
frequency stability better than 8 PPM for 10 years. In
addition, Fox's new OCXO has a phase noise of -125 dBc/Hz at an
offset of 100 Hz and of -145 dBc/Hz at an offset of 10kHz.
The operating temperature for the FTS310 is -40°C to +65°C, with an
option of -40°C to +85°C for use in outdoor units or locations
requiring tolerance to higher temperatures. The new OCXO has a
frequency range of 2.43 MHz to 60.00 MHz, warms up to within ±4.6
PPM in two minutes and needs less than 1.5 watts of power to do so.
Its supply voltage is 3.30 V ±0.16 V, its operating power is 1.0
watts at 0°C and 0.6 watts at 25°C and its output load is 15 pF. The
OCXO measures 20.8 mm L x 13.2 mm W x 11.0 mm H.
Pricing for a FTS310 OCXO is
$17.00 each in quantities of 5,000. Delivery is eight weeks ARO. (get

FORT
MYERS, Fla., February 2007 - Fox Electronics, a leading global
supplier of frequency control products, today announced that the low
levels of jitter and high performance features in its XpressO
voltage controlled crystal oscillators (VCXOs)
make it possible for more information to be transmitted than with
traditional programmable oscillators. This high rate of data
transfer can directly affect the bottom line of service providers
such as cell phone and cable companies, whose success is dependent
on their ability to send and receive information.
The high-performance XpressO family of VCXO oscillators is available in LVDS
and LVPECL versions, and costs 30 percent less than traditional LVDS/LVPECL
quartz oscillators. The new oscillators employ noise reducing DSM technology and
proprietary low-noise architecture to decrease jitter and phase noise. Their
revolutionary design and application specific integrated circuits (ASICs) allow
for accurate performance, decreased costs, shorter lead times and increased
flexibility. Available package sizes for the 3.3-volt XpressO oscillators are
7.5 mm x 5.0 mm and 5.0 mm x 3.2 mm. Because pricing does not vary depending on
package size, there is no price increase for purchasing a smaller package.
These new XpressO oscillators have a frequency range from 1.0 MHz to 1.1 GHz and
stabilities as tight as ±20 ppm. Next day shipment is offered for samples and
within 10 days for production quantities.
Pricing for XpressO VCXOs will
vary depending on the output, frequency and stability needed. A 3.3v, 50ppm APR,
LVDS/LVPECL, 212.5 MHz oscillator costs $5.17 each in quantities of 1,000. (see
index)
FORT

FORT
MYERS, Fla., October 2006 - Fox Electronics, America’s leading
supplier of frequency control products, today announced the
availability of its new HCMOS half size, eight-pin DIP OCXO (oven
controlled crystal oscillator). The reduced size of the
FHS501AH
oscillator makes it particularly useful in portable devices and
stems from its use of a smaller crystal, which allows many other
individual components in the OCXO to also be decreased.
Applications that may utilize
the OCXO range from GPS and time code instruments, to base stations, test
equipment, synthesizers and digital switching equipment.
The FHS501AH’s small form
factor offers the same high frequency stability as a full size OCXO package, at
+/-4.6 PPM. It features a frequency range of 10 to 80 MHz, supply voltage of 5V
± 5 percent and an operating temperature range of 0°C (32°F) to +70°C (158°F).
The RoHS-compliant OCXO measures only 13.2 mm squared, with a profile of 9.0 mm.
Fox’s new half-DIP OCXO is
specified for Stratum III service. Its operating power is 0.5W at 25°C and its
control voltage is 0.5 V ~ 5.0 V. Additional specification information is also
available.
Pricing for a FHS501AH OCXO is $52.25 each in quantities of 1,000.
Delivery is 16 weeks ARO. (see
datasheet)
FORT
MYERS, Fla., September 2006 – Fox Electronics, America’s leading
supplier of frequency control products, now offers a small,
silicon-based oscillator with extremely low jitter. The LVDS and
LVPECL versions of the oscillator, which are part of Fox’s new
XpressO™ family, cost 30 percent less than traditional LVDS/LVPECL
quartz oscillators.
Noise reducing DSM technology and proprietary low-noise architecture decrease
jitter and phase noise in the 3.3-volt XpressO oscillator. Its revolutionary
design and application specific integrated circuits (ASICs) allow for accurate
performance, decreased costs, shorter lead times and increased flexibility. The
high performance XpressO oscillators are available in LVDS and LVPECL versions
for XO packages, and XpressO’s ceramic package sizes are 7.5 mm x 5.0 mm and 5.0
mm x 3.2 mm. Because pricing does not vary depending on package size, there is
no penalty for purchasing a smaller package.
The new XpressO oscillators are applicable in a variety of functions requiring
extreme stabilities, from HDTV and optical networking, to broadband applications
for Internet, as well as video and data transfer. The XpressO oscillators
feature a frequency range from 1.0 MHz to 1.1 GHz, stabilities as tight as ±20
ppm, and next day shipment for samples and within 10 days for production
quantities.
Pricing for XpressO oscillators
will vary depending on the output, frequency and stability needed. A 3.3v,
50ppm, LVDS/LVPECL, 155.52 MHz oscillator costs $4.32 in quantities of 1,000.
